AMSTERDAM (AP) FC Twente, Ajax and AZ Alkmaar are level on points atop the Dutch Eredivisie after a weekend in which AZ was the only leading team to manage a victory.
AZ went third on goal difference Sunday by winning 2-0 at PEC Zwolle, another team that squandered a chance to go top.
On Saturday night, ADO The Hague christened its new artificial turf pitch by beating league leader FC Twente 3-2 and Ajax could only draw 0-0 with last-placed RKC Waalwijk.
Despite the loss, Twente remained top and Ajax's point took it to second after 11 rounds.
In Sunday's last match, both Vitesse Arnhem and Groningen could have taken the league lead with a win, but Groningen wiped out a two-goal deficit in the last 15 minutes of the 2-2 draw.
