LONDON - Chelsea captain John Terry will be allowed to miss Sunday's (NZT) FA Cup match against Cardiff amid turmoil in his private life.
Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins said today that it "would be the best for all concerned" if Terry is given the weekend off.
British media reported that the defender would be flying to Dubai to join his wife Toni.
Terry lost the England captaincy last week after it was alleged that he had an affair with the former partner of international teammate Wayne Bridge.
