TIRANA, Albania (AP) Giovanni De Biasi has renewed his contract as Albania coach for another two years despite poor results in World Cup qualifying.
The country's football federation said Thursday that the 57-year-old Italian will prepare the squad for 2016 European Championship qualifiers.
De Biasi, a former coach at Torino and Udinese, took over Albania in 2011.
The squad lost five of its 10 World Cup qualifiers in a group that also included qualifier Switzerland and playoff team Iceland as well as Slovenia, Norway, and Cyprus.
