David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic agree World Cup wager

As if there wasn't already enough riding on tomorrow's World Cup quarter-final, David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic just upped the stakes even more.

Swedish great Ibrahimovic who now plays in the US, challenged the former England captain on Friday to a wager on the outcome of Saturdays England v Sweden game.

"If England win I buy you dinner wherever you want in the world, but if Sweden wins you buy me whatever I want from Ikea, OK?" Ibrahimovic proposed on Twitter.

Accepting the risk of furnishing Ibrahimovic's LA mansion, and adding a further twist Beckham soon rose to the challenged.

Replying on Instagram, he wrote: "If Sweden win I will personally take you to Ikea and buy you whatever you need for the new mansion in LA, but when England win I want you to come watch an England game at Wembley wearing an England shirt and enjoy fish and chips at half-time."

And so the deal is set, and with social media as their witness - eyes will now be set on the pair to ensure they carry out their respective forfeits.
