Christchurch earthquake: FIFA head sends letter of support

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has sent a letter of support to New Zealand Football chairman Frank van Hattum following the Christchurch earthquake.

In the letter, Blatter says he's been following with sadness the news of the terrible tragedy and he'd like to express his deep sympathy to the people of New Zealand and the New Zealand Football family.

Blatter says on behalf of FIFA, he wishes to extend his moral support.

He says their thoughts are with the many victims, the injured and their families.
