Chris Wood is making up for lost time in the English Premier League, playing a starring role in a tension-filled 3-0 win over West Ham in London.
All Whites striker Wood was introduced with half an hour remaining when the scores were locked 0-0 and made an immediate impact on Sunday morning (NZT).
He provided an assist for Ashley Barnes' opening goal and then scored twice himself, both from right-footed strikes inside the box.
The opening goal sparked chaotic scenes as a handful of disgruntled West Ham supporters invaded the former Olympic Stadium pitch.
