BUENOS AIRES (AP) Boca Juniors moved to within two points of the lead in Argentina's first division with a 2-0 win over Racing on Sunday in the seventh round of matches of Torneo Inicial.
Newell's Old Boys lead the standings after defeating Olimpo 2-1 on Saturday, with previous leaders Argentinos Juniors losing 4-0 to Lanus on Friday.
Also Sunday, Arsenal and River Plate drew 1-1, Tigre won 2-0 against Rosario and Rafaela defeated Estudiantes 1-0. On Saturday, All Boys won 4-0 against Quilmes and San Lorenzo drew 0-0 with Godoy Cruz. Belgrano defeated Velez 3-0 on Friday, while Gimnasia plays Colon in the last match of the round Monday.
Juan Sanchez Mino opened the scoring for Boca Juniors in the 16th minute and Emmanuel Gigliotti sealed the win in the 68th.
Newell's came from behind to beat Olimpo as former France international David Trezeguet equalized in the 52nd with a tap in and Maxi Rodriguez netting from the penalty spot for the winner.
