KEY POINTS:
All Whites skipper Danny Hay has not completely ruled out involvement in Wellington's A-League franchise.
Hay is in Santiago en route to Costa Rica as part of an arduous two day plane trip for the All Whites on tour. The national skipper had previously indicated he would not be interested in a move to Wellington's A-League franchise, but is reconsidering.
Hay says the reality is that he has to talk to his wife and convince her about the option. He says he might grab a few minutes aside with Ricki Herbert while they are on tour to talk about the possibility of commuting, as they are settled in Auckland. Hay's wife is due to give birth soon to the couple's first child.
He says it is a little bit difficult, but playing for a New Zealand A-League franchise was the whole reason he returned to play football in New Zealand. Overall, Hay says there is a lot of relief in the camp following Monday's happy announcement with a few of the players quite nervous about the franchise going ahead.
The All Whites play Costa Rica in San Jose on Sunday afternoon, before meeting Venezuela in Venezuela next Thursday.
