New Zealand have slipped eight places to 59th in the world soccer rankings released overnight by governing body FIFA.
A 2-0 loss to Paraguay and 1-1 draw with Honduras - both at home last month - saw the All Whites suffer the biggest fall of any side in the world top 100 in the monthly rankings.
New Zealand climbed to as high as 49th following their gutsy showing at June's World Cup in South Africa, nearly eclipsing their best ranking of 47th, achieved in 2002.
World champions Spain hold onto the top spot in a top nine that is unchanged, with the Netherlands second and Brazil third. African champions Egypt climb to a top 10 dominated by teams from Europe and South America.
