All Whites striker Chris Wood has signed a one-month youth loan deal with Championship side Birmingham City.
The West Bromwich Albion player has joined the West Midlands club with the view to an extension and the possibility of a European football debut.
The duration of Wood's loan takes in Blues' league games against Coventry, Middlesbrough and Watford, plus their two-legged Europa League qualifying tie against Portuguese side Nacional.
Birmingham City say the 19-year-old will come straight into contention for tomorrow's season opener at Derby County.
Last season, the Auckland-born Wood also had loan spells at Barnsley, and Brighton and Hove Albion.
