BARCELONA, Spain (AP) Barcelona says left back Jordi Alba will be sidelined another six weeks after injuring his left hamstring in training, just as the Spain international was returning from a previous problem.
Alba was hurt on Thursday just as he was coming back from a muscle tear in his right leg last month.
The 24-year-old back will miss a pair of Champions League matches against AC Milan and a Spanish league game against Real Madrid while he recuperates.
Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano did return to training on Thursday after the Argentina international missed several weeks with a right hamstring injury.
