FIFA has retroactively awarded Angola a 3-0 win over Liberia in World Cup qualifying after the Liberians fielded a goalkeeper who should have been suspended.
Angola won last month's game 4-1 anyway and the result didn't affect Senegal progressing from the group to Africa's final World Cup playoffs.
FIFA said on Thursday that Liberia also was fined 6,000 Swiss francs ($6,700) after being found guilty by the world body's disciplinary committee of playing 'keeper Nathaniel Sherman in the Sept. 7 qualifier. He should have been serving a one-match suspension for picking up two yellow cards.
Liberia was the eighth African team found guilty of fielding an ineligible player in qualifying. FIFA said the Liberian Football Association was notified of the decision on Thursday.
