MIAMI (AP) The Florida Department of Health has closed its investigation of the anti-aging clinic that sparked Major League Baseball's probe of Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Braun and other players.
Department spokesman Nathan Dunn said Tuesday that Biogenesis of America owner Tony Bosch paid a $3,000 fine and signed a cease-and-desist order in July. The department had originally sought $5,000.
Bosch was issued a Uniform Unlicensed Activity Citation for the profession of medicine. The department had originally sought $5,000.
The agreement was first reported by ESPN.
Bosch, alleged to have provided banned performance-enhancing drugs to major leaguers, is now cooperating with baseball's investigators.
