Taranaki riders dominated at two national equestrian shows with Hawera's Robert Steele winning the final round of the national showjumping series and Vanessa Way the national dressage championships.
Dairy farmer Steele made it look easy on his way to victory in the super league at the final round of the national showjumping series on board Gospel yesterday.
Steel and Gospel easily loped to a comfortable win over eight other combinations in the class at the Egmont A and P Showgrounds in Hawera.
At Feilding, Way came away from the New Zealand dressage championships with two national titles.
She won the top-end grand prix national title and Tironui Trophy with KH Arvan and the level three national title and Killala Trophy with her youngster KH Allandro.
