Many of New Zealand's best riders will compete in a three-day equestrian festival at Isola, near Waiuku, this week.
The lineup includes current or former internationals Maurice Beatson, John Cottle, Merran Hain, Vaughn Jefferis and Colin and Toni McIntosh.
The showjumping spectacular will mark the first event open to the public at the Isola Equestrian Centre in eight years.
Once the hub of equestrian sport in New Zealand, Isola has undergone a substantial restoration under the watchful eye of owner Jenny Vaughan, who is celebrating the "revival" by offering free admission to the Friday-Sunday event.
The showjumping programme culminates in the $5000 Isola Grand Prix on Sunday on a course designed by Olympic course builder John Vallance.
Former world champion Jefferis will be competing, despite recently breaking a collar bone.
There is a large pony entry.
