Equestrian: McVean wins Cup

Katie McVean yesterday won the Norwood Gold Cup at the Horse of the Year Show at Hastings.

Aboard imported stallion Corofino II, McVean, 23, headed home 30 other combinations to take the Cup which was first presented in 1967 and sports the names of some of the greatest riders from Australasia.

She was one of seven through to the jump-off.
