Equestrian: Honours for equestrians

Five celebrated names of NZ equestrian were honoured at the inaugural Horse of the Year Hall of Fame gala in Hawkes Bay.

The contributions of Olympic and World Cup rider John Cottle, Gisborne cattle breeder and former top rider Merran Hain, Equestrian Sports NZ patron 'Tiny' White, the Holden family of Hawkes Bay and the late Hugh Thompson of Hawkes Bay, were acknowledged at the inaugural Horse of the Year Hall of Fame gala.
