Matthew Grayling is in the running for a top-five finish after the cross-country at the World Cup eventing final in Pau, France, yesterday.
Taranaki's Grayling, riding Revo, was fourth after the dressage and slipped to sixth after the cross-country, with 9.6 time penalties.
Fellow New Zealander Andrew Nicholson, aboard Flush Banker, pulled up from 31st after dressage to 11th.
