Michael van Gerwen has capped a dominant 12 months in professional darts.
The Dutchman has won his second world title, beating two-time defending champion Gary Anderson 7-3 in the best-of-13 set final at the Alexandra Palace in London.
Van Gerwen's run to the title was briefly stalled in the final stages as a spectator ran onto the stage and grabbed the Sid Waddell Trophy, before being hauled away by security.
The intruder seemed to briefly break van Gerwen's concentration, before he ended a three-year wait for a second world title by hitting the bullseye to seal a comfortable victory.
It's his 26th title in the last year and he'll take home NZ$620,000 for his efforts.
