Russian badminton players have been accused of performing the worst haka ever at the All England Open.
"Offensive to indigenous New Zealanders or just a bit of fun?" was how the Daily Mail headlined the story, after Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov celebrated victory in the final against Japan with a wild version of the haka.
The Russians gave themselves a hug then took up well orchestrated positions and performed a haka, complete with screaming and a couple of high fives.
The Daily Mail concluded: "The performance has been deemed one of the worst hakas of all time, competing with the notorious 'smiling' version from the international New Zealand team."
