Top sports-jock Martin Devlin has quit Radio Sport, two days after broadcaster Paul Holmes walked away from Television New Zealand.
The Waikato Times said it understood Devlin's lawyer has delivered his resignation to employers The Radio Network.
The Radio Network general manager Bill Francis refused to comment today, but did not deny Devlin had resigned.
Devlin, 40, has been with Radio Sport since its inception in 1998 and is generally regarded as its star.
It was understood Devlin would take on the breakfast slot at a mainstream radio station.
Radio Pacific programme director Chris Gregory confirmed his station had been talking with Devlin.
Holmes quit TVNZ on Tuesday and was followed to his new channel, Prime, yesterday by executive producer Pip Keane.
