Darts: Van Gerwen to face Anderson in championship final

Michael van Gerwen will meet Gary Anderson in the grand final of the World Darts Championship.

The world number one has defeated Raymond van Barneveld 6-2, finishing with a 114.05 average, the highest in world championship history.

Van Gerwen had a chance to put the icing on the cake late in the match, missing a chance for a nine darter.

Earlier Gary Anderson defeated Peter Wright 6-3 to advance to his third straight final.
