The Professional Darts Corporation appears to have confirmed a multi-year deal to bring the world's best back to New Zealand.
Top Kiwi player Rob Szabo has just returned from the World Championships in London and told Radio Sport that a return to New Zealand is locked in.
"I believe the venue's been booked out for the next four years," he said. "When I was talking to a few of the PDC representatives they said Auckland was absolutely fantastic and they loved it ... yeah they'll be back".
Trusts Arena in Waitakere hosted the first Auckland PDC event last year, which was won by Englishman Adrian Lewis. Lewis yesterday lost the final of the World Championships at London's Alexandra Palace to Scotsman Gary Anderson.
Trusts Arena chief executive Brian Blake said he couldn't comment on any deal but said organisers were very happy with the venue last year.
