Danny Morrison has already established himself as one of the quirkiest commentators in the world of cricket, but the former Black Caps took his on-field antics to a whole new level when he turned up dressed as a sardar for a pre-match segment in India.
In a fake beard and colourful turban Morrison, 50, fronted coverage of the King's XI Punjab v Royal Challengers Bangalore match on Monday (NZT Tuesday).
Morrison's co-host Pallavi Sharda also dressed up as a 'Punjabi kudi' to make it a total Punjabi affair.
"I love doing what I do," Morrison told Cricbuzz. "The opportunity of T20 coming along, especially in the subcontinent where people are so passionate about it, is great. They love their cricket so much. The passion around the game lifts me. You got to laugh in life. You have to laugh at yourself a lot. At times, you can take yourself too seriously. I don't tend to. Maybe it's me at the other end of the scale," he laughed. "Laughing is a great medicine. You have to have fun, laugh a lot and make others laugh."
