Dan Carter has impressed the Racing 92 fans without even touching a rugby ball after showing off his French skills during his official introduction in the weekend.
Carter was interviewed before Racing's 28-13 win over Toulouse.
"Je parle un petit peu français, but uh, bonne chance pour le cielet blanc," he told the fans, which roughly translates as: "I speak just a bit of French but good luck to the Sky Blues and Whites."
"I had a good break, a couple of weeks of celebration after the World Cup, but my focus is here and I can't wait to put on the famous ciel et blanc jersey and play for Racing."
Racing currently sit second on the Top 14 table with seven wins from nine games.
Carter is expected to make his debut for the club against Northampton in the European Cup on December 12.
However, he may be the best player in world rugby and was man of the match in the Rugby World Cup final but Carter didn't have the easiest first training session at his new French club.
Carter retired from international rugby after kicking 19 points in the World Cup final victory over Australia. A few days later he was named World Rugby player of the year for a third time.
Carter was introduced to supporters of Racing 92 on Friday and said he was excited about beginning what is reputedly the richest club contract in history, in the sphere of 1 million euros ($1.6 million) per season.
He is set to make his debut against Northampton in a fortnight.
