Dan Carter might have made a fool of many defenders on the rugby field but it seems the All Blacks first five-eighths has fallen for an April Fool's Day joke.
MasterCard released a video yesterday (April 1) saying they were retiring 2003 as a pin number for security reasons.
Martin Johnston, who lifted the William Webb Ellis trophy, features in the clip as a MasterCard ambassador telling people to "move on" from 2003.
"Former England Captain Martin Johnson tells England fans to move on from the 2003 victory, I have a feeling he hasn't," Carter wrote on Twitter.
During the clip, various World Cup paraphernalia is cited in Johnson's house (number 2003, of course), including photos of him holding the trophy, a World Cup keyring, 2003 coffee mug, snow globe and a replica trophy in the background and even pans to a digital clock which shows the time 20:03.
