Daily Shorts: Cycle race ends in punch up

Professional cyclists are quite clearly the bad boys of the sports world. With their high visibility colours, shaved legs and tight pants you would be a fool to mess with them.

But during the Volta a Portugal race yesterday, these two bad boys found each other.

With temperatures soaring on the 155-kilometre stage from Oliveira do Bairro to Viseu, tensions became heated between Vicente de Mateus from Spain and Italian Enrico Rossi after crashing on a roundabout near the end of the stage.

The action was captured by a helicopter filming the race and showed Rossi lashing out before De Mateus got a decent response in.

Jason Statham dives at the Commonwealth Games

In today's edition of "huh, neat": did you know that British actor Jason Statham was once a British diver who participated in the Commonwealth Games in Auckland?

Statham, known for being a badass in movies like the Transporter and the Fast and the Furious, shows his softer side in the clip below. His performance was underwhelming, but the hair was on point.
