Dunedin rider Kashi Leuchs was fourth, less than four minutes off the pace, in the elite men's cross-country at the mountain bike World Cup series in New Mexico.
Justin Leov, 21, of Blenheim, finished fifth in the elite men's downhill.
National champion John Kirkcaldie (Wellington) was ninth.
