MADRID (AP) A mixup over Christopher Horner's whereabouts for a doping test a day after his victory in the Spanish Vuelta has been cleared up by the U.S. anti-doping agency.
"This is not considered a missed test," the USADA said in a statement Monday.
Spain's anti-doping agency said it received a request from its American counterpart to perform a routine test on the U.S. veteran rider early Monday, only to discover that Horner was not at the address they had been given.
The RadioShack-Leopard rider had spent the night at a different hotel to the rest of his team.
The USADA later issued a statement confirming Horner had updated his whereabouts details in advance but the change received by email was not forwarded to the anti-doping control officer in Spain ahead of initially planned test.
