ADELAIDE, Australia (AP) Tour de France stage-winner Frank Schleck will ride Tour Down Under for the first time in January as a teammate of German veteran Jens Voight, who will start is farewell season in Australia.
Schleck was confirmed Monday as a member of the Trek Factory Racing Team which will contest the ProTour event from Jan. 19-26.
The 42-year-old Voight will ride in the Australian tour for the 11th time as he embarks on his final season as a professional cyclist.
Voight said the Tour Down Under "has almost become like a ritual for me. As it looks like 2014 is going to be my last season it's going to be extra special."
