New Zealand cyclist Sarah Ulmer has won a bronze medal in the women's 20 K Points race on the opening night of competition at the Track cycling world cup meet in Sydney on Friday.
And Anthony Peden completed a good night for New Zealand with a fourth placing in the men's Kierin final.
The action continues on Saturday with the men's team pursuit, Sarah Ulmer in the women's individual pursuit and Greg Henderson in the points race.
They are hoping to qualify for next week's World Championships in Melbourne.
The team pursuit is timed to go at 3pm followed by Ulmer at four and Henderson at 5pm.
