Two more national records were broken in early racing today at the New Zealand track cycling championships in Invercargill.
After seven records fell on the opening day at the ILT Velodrome yesterday, Auckland's Myron Simpson and Canterbury's Natasha Hansen added two more.
Simpson posted a time of 10.878 seconds in the under-19 men's sprint qualifying race, beating Southland's Eddie Dawkins' five-month-old record of 10.997sec.
In the women's under-19 qualifying Natasha Hansen set a new record of 12.463sec, beating Elisabeth Williams' eight-year-old record time of 12.524sec.
