New Zealand has secured two more medals at the world track cycling championships in Cali, Colombia.
Tom Scully has earned silver in the points race and Simon van Velthooven has taken bronze in the kilo time trial.
Scully's medal is the first by a New Zealand male in the discipline at a world championships. Karen Holliday (gold, 1990) and Sarah Ulmer (bronze, 1999) have previously medalled as Kiwi women. Scully finished on 66 points, four behind local winner Edwin Alcibiades Avila Vanegas.
Earlier van Velthooven completed the 1000m in 1m 00.518seconds, edging fourth place by 0.015s.
The London Olympic keirin bronze medallist was 1.133s behind French gold medallist Francois Pervis. German rider Joachim Eilers was second.
