KEY POINTS:
France's anti-doping agency has conducted doping tests on 30 Tour de France cyclists.
Pierre Bordry, head of the French Anti-Doping Agency, said yesterday the tests were not carried out at random, as cyclists "were targeted based on information from federations, teams or newspapers".
Jean-Pierre Verdy, the director of testing at the agency, said another 20 to 30 riders would be checked before the Tour starts on July 5.
The Tour de France, which runs until July 27, has been hit with a series of drug scandals in the past two years.
