The Tour of Southland is heading for a thrilling finale.
Only 24 seconds separate the leading four riders heading into today's final two stages, with Australian Mitchell Lovelock-Fays still in the leader's yellow jersey.
Michael Torckler is second, just four seconds back. He said it's rare to have so many riders in contention this late in the Tour.
Torckler said the winner is usually clear-cut by now or there are only one or two riders in the running.
There is a 13-kilometre individual time trial in Winton this morning before the Tour concludes with an 88-kilometre stage to Invercargill.
