Rushlee Buchanan has completed the treble of national road cycling titles this summer.
The London Olympian won today's women's 117km road race in Napier, following on from her national successes in the time trial and criterium in the last couple of months.
"It's so special and amazing to me to back it up and obviously now be a three-time national champion," Buchanan said. "It's quite phenomenal. I probably won't realise what it means for a while."
She sprinted clear of her New Zealand track team-mate Georgia Williams and past champion Jo Kiesanowski in the last 200m after the trio pulled clear in the final third of the race.
"This is the first time I've won in a sprint finish, out of a small group, so it was a little bit different," Buchanan said.
