Double Olympic medallist Hayden Roulston has returned to the world champion men's team pursuit squad for the track World Cup in Cambridge from December 4-6.
The team of Piet Bulling, Alex Frame, Regan Gough, Dylan Kennett and Marc Ryan won the world championship in Paris earlier this year, a first for New Zealand.
Kennett (knee) and Ryan (calf) are recovering from injuries and will miss next month's event.
Cam Karwowski and Nick Kergozou join Bulling, Frame, Gough and Roulston in the team pursuit squad.
"The young guys are the four and I'm challenging them," Roulston said. "I think it's healthy; their numbers are incredible.
"If I'm not good enough to be in the team, I'm not going to poison that team."
"The team is so close any day any rider can put themselves up the pecking order," high performance director Mark Elliott said.
"Hayden's coming in well, the data says that, but we want to give him exposure with three of our world champions."
Karwowski is also likely to contest the six-discipline omnium. 2013 world champion Aaron Gate is spelled after a heavy schedule as he builds towards next year's world championships.
The men's team sprint of Sam Webster, Ethan Mitchell and Eddie Dawkins are retained. The 2014 world champions were out of sync on a windy day at the most recent World Cup in Colombia. Their time of 45.463s placed them 16th.
