New Zealand road race champion and double Beijing Olympics medallist Hayden Roulston has been hit by a car while training in Spain with his HTC Highroad team.
Team spokeswoman Kristy Scrymgeour told the RoadCycling.co.nz website the incident happened today (NZt).
Roulston had no broken bones but had his arm in a sling and had trouble bending over, she added.
The team would send him for more scans tomorrow but at this stage he was still in their lineup for the six-day Vuelta Pais Vasco race in the Basque region starting tomorrow.
