New Zealand road cyclist Jo Kiesanowski was among a group of riders who lost out to an error at the Tour of Flanders in Belgium.
Kiesanowski was in the lead breakaway bunch of fifteen riders in the World Cup race when the lead car took a wrong turn.
When the driver realised his navigational error it was too late for the breakaway group, who were overtaken by the main peleton.
Organisers have declared the results null and void with no World Cup points being awarded.
