Mike Northey took the A Grade honours in last night's fourth round of the summer criterium series at Auckland's Viaduct Harbour.
The Bici Vida rider edged out Nick Lovegrove (Subway Avanti), with Alex Ray 3rd.
Northey also won three of the five sprint laps with Lovegrove taking the other two. Northey is clear favourite to win the series cup as he stands 24 points ahead of fellow team member Patrick Bevin.
The Elite Women's race was won by Rosy McCall followed by Kate Mullarkey and Paula McCoy close behind.
Racing continues at the viaduct next Thursday evening.
