Wellington cyclist Rachel Mercer narrowly missed getting a bronze medal in her time trial at the Junior Cycling World Championships in Mexico yesterday.
Mercer finished fourth in the 14km race in 21m 6.48s, only 2s behind the third placegetter. Auckland's Tom David finished fifth in the men's time trial over 28km in 38m 27.72s and Alexandra's James Williamson was 33rd.
