Auckland's Gordon McCauley won the elite men's title at cycling's national criterium championships for the first time in New Plymouth yesterday.
Hamilton's Justin Kerr showed a final burst of speed but was unable to overhaul McCauley.
The under-23 men's title went to Mark Langlands and Myron Simpson won the under-19 race from fellow Auckland rider, Alex Cull. Malindi McLean made it a double for Auckland when she won the elite women's title.
Second was former international Susy Pryde with Kerri-Ann Torckler third in front of her home crowd. Emma Peterson won the under-19s.
