Kiwi BMX rider Marc Willers has finished fourth in the opening round of the UCI Supercross World Cup near San Diego.
Willers was forced to an outside lane in the final, hampering his chances of overcoming the other riders.
Fellow Kiwi Kurt Pickard couldn't progress past the quarterfinals.
