Medals continued to elude New Zealand as the world track cycling championships concluded in Bordeaux, France this morning (NZ time).
Commonwealth Games cyclist Joanne Kiesanowski finished ninth in the women's scratch race final, while Hayden Godfrey and Timothy Gudsell failed to finish the 50km madison as New Zealand wrapped up their campaign without a podium finish.
Kiesanowski, following her 16th placing in the points race on Saturday, was in a pack that finished a lap behind Colombian winner Maria-Liusa Calle Williams.
Godfrey and Gudsell were one of four teams that failed to finish the madison won by Spain with 16 points.
