Questions have been raised over the integrity of High Performance Sport New Zealand's review into the depature of Cycling New Zealand's sprint coach Anthony Peden.
HPSNZ launched the investigation after Peden left his post following claims of inappropriate behaviour. The organisiation said while they were launching the investigation, they would be staying out of it.
However, 1News reported a HPSNZ employee who had been involved in the cycling programme had been in contact with someone involved in the review who's information was supposed to be confidential.
Workplace investigator Andrew Scott-Howman told 1Newsthe interaction raised issues over the integrity of the process.
"It's really important that interviewees, in other words witnesses, don't talk to anyone but the investigator for the period of that process."
