A swollen hip is hindering New Zealand cyclist Hayden Roulston's preparations for next week's Paris-Nice stage race in France.
Speaking on his personal website, Roulston says his hip is black and blue and he also has a bit of skin off his knees. Despite the injuries, Roulston will join Greg Henderson on the start list for the first of this year's major stage races.
Paris-Nice starts on Monday morning (NZ time) with an eight kilometre time trial.
