Kiwi cyclist Greg Henderson has had a good finish on stage five of the Giro d'Italia.
The Team Sky sprinter has finished fifth on the stage in northern Italy, four seconds behind a successful three-man breakaway.
Henderson is relieved to have been able to contest a bunch sprint after a crash-marred start to the event in the Netherlands. He says he enjoyed the stage.
"It was just a shame we couldn't catch the breakaway."
Henderson finished four seconds behind a successful three-man breakaway and the second best of the pure sprinters. He says the likes of Alessandro Pettachi, Andre Greipel and Robbie McEwen were all there and he beat them.
Frenchman Jerome Pineau has won the stage, while Vincenzo Nibali has retained the leader's pink jersey.
