New Zealand cyclist Greg Henderson has finished a solid ninth as his Health Net-Maxxis team capped a dream Wachovia week with victory in the USPro road race championship in Philadelphia.
Henderson's American teammate, Chris Wherry, attacked on the final climb and held on to win the 250km classic in a time of six hours one minute 16 seconds.
He finished ahead of countrymen Danny Pate, riding for Jelly Belly-Pool Gel, and Chris Horner, of Saunier Duval-Prodir.
Wherry's victory meant the Los Angeles-based Health Net-Maxxis team scooped all three Wachovia week titles -- North America's premier cycling event.
Henderson won the 147km Wachovia Invitation last week, his biggest victory on the road, before American Gord Fraser captured the Trenton Classic with Henderson 11th.
Glen Mitchell was the next best New Zealander, 5min 54sec down on Wherry in 43rd place.
Mitchell's Kodak Sierra Nevada teammate Hayden Godfrey was 78th, 14min 19sec down, while Jason Allen, of McGuire Pro Cycling, failed to finish.
