One podium finish but important points; that was New Zealand's lot at the opening track cycling World Cup event in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The best result on the final day yesterday was a fourth to Commonwealth Games individual sprint champion Sam Webster, who was also part of the trio who finished third in the sprint 24 hours earlier.
The results offered valuable insight into the team's progress.
"We came over here to benchmark ourselves against the rest of the world," BikeNZ head coach Dayle Cheatley said. "We did rides that we thought we were capable of doing. The bonus of that is that it has put us right up there near the top end of the field which is great [with] Olympic qualifying points for us.
"Yes we have some work to do. We knew that coming in but we wanted to see where we were against the rest of the world and we are quite happy where we are sitting."
