The New Zealand senior women's curling team will enter uncharted territory on Saturday when they play in the medal rounds of the world senior curling championships in Denmark for the first time.
They will be hoping to see some familiar faces on the neighbouring ice sheets, too, with their male compatriots in action in tonight's quarter-final against Sweden.
In their last pool game overnight (NZT), the New Zealand women beat Japan 10-2 to confirm second in their pool behind Sweden and will now meet tournament favourites Canada.
"It's a great, great feeling - we will have to get used to it," New Zealand skip Wendy Becker said. "The other teams have made us work so hard. It was a tough group to come out of but we're so happy to have reached the semifinals.
"It seems to be coming together at the right time for us. We know we have tough games ahead of us but we'll enjoy them. We'll give it every shot and see what happens."
